ej6swap Posted October 1, 2009 Share Posted October 1, 2009 i was wondering if there is anybody who knows how to swap a b18a1 in a 98 dx hatch what parts do i specifically need to make it run right and also can i run it as an obd1 instead of wiring it to an obd2 if anyone knows that would be great. having trouble i have the mounts and everything correct just the wiring is where im confused. should i use my dx harness or try to get an ex harness because i heard they usually run better from these kind of swaps but i already have an obd2 ls ecu should i try getting an obd1 ecu and which one would run better. SpeedDemon Posted October 1, 2009 Share Posted October 1, 2009 check the stickys that are posted in this section. it will tell you a great deal of info. but here is a run down of the basics: axles transmission engine(duh) wiring harness from the b18b1 you will most likely need a jumper harness from obd1 to obd2 mounts you almost always use the harness that came with the engine.
