dragonball6789
recently i got my 2007 civic si up to 134 mph, it should be electronicly governed to 128. do you think this would cause the check engine light to come on?
lceah
The way to find out what has happened for the check engine light to come on is to get the code... Go to Autozone and borrow the OBD reader to use in the parking lot. Connect the reader and turn your key to ON position and then turn the OBD reader on. It will tell you what the code is for... gl

It could just be a stupid new thing with the governed computers, but your best bet is to give honda a call and ask them why it is doing that. Did you happen to hit this speed going downhill, if so than the ecu cant keep you from going faster but it should stop you if you were just flat out accelerating. Stupid speed limiters
