respusnam55 Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 when i drive my car it runs fine at first but when i stop at stop lights and such the rpms drop almost to where its about to die then it goes back up then back down etc. i cleaned the idle air control valve but made no difference. i found that when i disconnect the connector on thethrottle body and reconnect it it runs fine and doesnt do the idle problem idk what its called or if its what should be replaced. any help is appreciated thanks! oh yeah its a 98 civic ex d16y8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Put your ear in the bay and listen for sucking. will do i covered the throttle body and the car died right away isnt that another way to tell? is there a particular hose i should check? or better way?
