..SSR..
Cheaper just to build it ground up. Especially the trans. Stock trans on built engine on 17psi (assuming its a decent sized turbo as you stated externally gated) on 2 step on radials or slicks (since you want massive times) = blown trans. MarineSniper217
Well yea. I just need the engine first lol. Im planning on getting the engine, and then letting it sit on my work table untill like mid spring. The whole time adding parts to it. Forged 8.5/1 pistons, eagle rods, sleeves, upgrade the whole valvetrain, and get copper gaskets. All ARP studs. Along with a stage 3 clutch and aluminum flywheel. But, like I said, I need the engine lol, I would like to get it all at one time because I hate shopping all around. And is there anything else I need so the motor dosent blow? ..SSR..
Compression is too low. Better to have the head done and get a cam and intake manifold before spending the money on a resleeve and custom pistons. You're missing a LSD so the trans doesn't blow itself to heaven. MarineSniper217
True about the LSD... But everywhere I have read, for turbocharged engines pushing nice boost, 8.5/1 Pistons are the best thing for it.... Just clarifying things
..SSR..
If you want no low-mid range and a longer spool time. 9:1 at the very minimum. I usually use 10.5:1-11.5:1 depending on the turbo.
