tfawbush
Has anyone ever left their gas cpa off of a crv and had the engine light come on? If so how do you get it to go off? Does this cause damage to the engine? Thanks, Tom
0verb00st
my explorer does that. it's because the fuel system is pressurized. with the cap off, it cant build up pressure. to reset the code on my explorer, you have to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes. maybe it's the same with the CRV

boost
All 96 and newer vehicles do this, as the OBDII system requires the fuel tank to be a closed system under a certain pressure. No harm tho.
