optional187 Posted June 25, 2003 Share Posted June 25, 2003 http://www.honda.co.jp/INSPIRE/presentation/index.html the link is to a video. its in japanese...i haven't watched the whole video yet, but supposedly it is about the new inspire's ability to steer for you. sort of like cruise control, only the vehicle will also steer for you up to a 90 degree turn. BuddySol Posted June 25, 2003 Share Posted June 25, 2003 Yah...I posted this movie up in another post, I believe it was in the Acura forum. Honda's HiDS is a pretty interesting system. It is like a smart Cruise Control in that it keeps a safe distance between you and the car in front of you. And it doesn't really steer for you, you have to steer the wheel, it basically assists you in steering. As well as warns you when you should brake and when you stray from the lane. I know exactly what you mean. and to think I was soooo close to getting a cable modem.... that's pretty interesting, but I assume the system adds weight like no other.
