jkm345 Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 i have white smoke coming out my tail pipe whenever i downshift, i was told that it could be my head gasket that needs replacement or that i need to replace my pistons, because i have high compression pistons..any help would be appreciated. Posted July 10, 2008 Share Posted July 10, 2008 white smoke tends to be a problem with a coolant leak somewhere, usually the head gasket. its better to be safe than sorry. replace your gaskets and see if that fixes the problem. if not, move onto the next possible solution white smoke = steam blue smoke = oil Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
