IL3GL'88 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 it really depends on what YOU want to do with it

cranny Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 we will all remember that nonsense 90 when you need suggestions or help next time. useless ass post. this is actually potentially good thread. we need to know what you want from the engine dude.
tegrakid06 Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 well i was wanting to go with turbo
tegrakid06 Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 i was also wanting to change the cams to itr. i know u can get them from the honda dealership but they charge alot for them what would be a good website to get them off of
cranny Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 no need for itr cams if your going turbo , depending i guess on how much you can get em for. if you wanna turbo it , make sure first off , depending on the mileage , that the cylinder walls are true. take it to a machine shop , have them check it , if the walls are out of tolerance , have them bored out .010". or as little as possible to make them true again(might take .020"). thats one option , another is to sleeve the block again , that way it will be new and still stock bore. price and consider both. youl also want lower compression pistons , many available in the aftermarket world. im a fan of wiseco. 90% of guys will tell you to buy eagle H beam rods. youl want brand new OEM(honda) rod and main bearings. your pistons will most likely come with wrist pins and locks , is they are floaters. they will come with rings most likely as well. your piston rods might come with ARP bolts , but if not youl want those too. if you buy forged pistons and rods , you can lose the squirters altogether , dont need them with forged internals. any questions?
