spinal Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Ok!! I have a 99 accord 4dr. About 3 years ago i lowered it with sprint springs and everything was fine with the ride. About 6 months ago I was going to trade the car in so i installed the oem springs as well as the oem control arms to give the car the factory ride. Well I decided not to sell it and lowered it back down and now the car is all over the road. If i'm driving you can feel the azz end kinda swaying. Anyone have any ideas what it could be and how i could fix this? O!! The car hasn't had any kind of alignment but it didn't have any alignment before and it road fine... Thanks!!
CleanGSR Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 You need an alignment. Your caster being out will make the car squirrly.
cranny Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 no castor adjustment. sounds like somin is loose to me. did it start right after you lowered it again? if so check your work , lol.
CleanGSR Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 No castor adjustment? When I put my camber kit on my car, I barely made it to the alignment shop because the car was so squirrly. They told me that my caster was out really bad. Was fine after the alignment.
Kegger Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 That is most likely the prob but he may also have not bolted his control arms up right or his sway bar.
cranny Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 the rear of your car has no castor adjustment hung , just toe , and camber now that you added it. maybe they can queak a little adjustment out of moving the part as far as the bolt hole will allow , you know what i mean.
CleanGSR Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Yeah, I see what you mean. Didn't think about not having the castor adjustments in the rear, but remember you saying that in my alignment thread now.
