lil.honda.man Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I wanna slap 18s on my 93 civic. I was wondering anyone done this to give me a heads up on problems? How fix the problems? I know that 18s are stupid, but i'm not racing. Its for looks. I was thinking of these rims. http://wheelnext.com/images/wheels/large/K...E10_BLK_2_W.jpg
Xeryon Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Ooo...this makes me so happy, I get to use my new word for the first time: lollerskates! At least the wheels you have chosen don't look too bad. In fact, I like them quite a bit and have already checked out the pricing, but on something a bit more sedate, like 15s or 16s. I, myself, would reserve 18s for full size cars and/or trucks. They would be a bit impractical for something as small as a civic. It would look like a 4x4 even if you tried to lower it too.
lil.honda.man Posted January 26, 2007 Author Posted January 26, 2007 Yea there cheap and thats for tires included. There 18x7's so they shouldn't scrub width wise. If not 17s are going on.
mycarsux Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 18's are pretty big for a civic. even 17's are pushin it. I'm not talking terms of fitment, I'm talking how they'll look.
lil.honda.man Posted January 26, 2007 Author Posted January 26, 2007 i'm lowering the car 3inches, so maybe it won't look to bad.
airjordan223 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 it will probably rub with 18's and a 3 inch drop
Ben. Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 ONLY 18's that should be put on ANY Honda Racing Hart C5's on EJ6 hatchback. -Getting a pair of C5's, Racing Hart S7's and cheapo Rota GT3's within the next month.-
Kastigir Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 18s will rub, especially with a 3 inch drop. Go no larger than 17s.
IL3GL'88 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 i'm definately with carsux on this one. go like 16's maybe seventeens.
lil.honda.man Posted January 27, 2007 Author Posted January 27, 2007 Well, the coilovers are adjustable so if scrubs i'll lift it alittle.
lil.honda.man Posted January 27, 2007 Author Posted January 27, 2007 I might go with 17s at least there cheaper. Maybe 17s won't scrub.
lil.honda.man Posted January 27, 2007 Author Posted January 27, 2007 I think 13's are just stupid, 14's suck,15's are alrtight. 16's are cool with a rubber band tire and tuckin them. 17's are cool. 18s are gettin to big. thats my opinion. 13's-15's you don't got nothing to clean, when you was your car and what to show off?

Ok you don't make any sense. In the original post, you said you wanted 18's and now you are saying they are too big? I'm confused. Oh and the last sentence...what?
Ben. Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Dude my 15" cheap ass Rota's are nicer than what you've got with WAY more to clean. That is, if I understood that correctly.
Xeryon Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 13's-15's you don't got nothing to clean, when you was your car and what to show off? English please. :bash:
lil.honda.man Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 Nah, crap i mean. you don't clean yours? 18's are big, but not to big for a civic. I've seen civics tuckin them. i was wanting the same thing. Rice or no rice. I don't like alotta tire. It makes a car dull. it would be different if i was the type or ricers that had vinyl flames, apc stickers, aem stickers, momo etc, on a stock civic with 20's and a dual deck spoiler made of aluminium. Not to get me on neons. Neons on a car with no bodykit. Thats rice.

Maybe not driving on a perfectly flat road but going over bumps and crap and turning they will. 18's just aren't practical on such a little car.
airjordan223 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 these are 18's on a civic with a 1.5 in drop granted you might not like the rims, im just showing sizes. i dont think that looks to bad
coolcat467 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Yea it looks alright. How's the camber though?
lil.honda.man Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 Camber can be fixed, not sure how to use the kit though.
airjordan223 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Yea it looks alright. How's the camber though? i dunno, its not my car, but with 1.5 in drop, its probably off a little. as ^he said, just get a camber kit and your set
