mountaindewguy
i was gonna get a water pump from advance auto or auto zone or some crap for my lsvtec.... how many teeth does a GSR water pump have? because online on one of them it says "for engines with 19 teeth only" ? also, would a vtec oil pump from autozone be sufficient? a water pump is a water pump, but what about the oil pump? EH6TunerDaniel
Taken from Sport Compact Car's Tech Site Although the LS timing belt will fit, upgrading to the more efficient VTEC water pump is a good idea and in doing so, a timing belt from the '94-'01 Integra GS-R is required. The VTEC water pump pulley has 22 teeth as opposed to the 19 found on the LS version, thus requiring the longer belt. The B16A timing belt will not work with either water pump due to the fact that those blocks are about 8mm shorter than the 1.8-liter versions. EH6TunerDaniel
Oh, I would go with the one from Acura. I trust OEM better than OEM replacement.
