(l2><
Is it true that it is possible to convert a FF drivetrain to FR?
Attaus
Not with a horizontally opposed motor.. unless you like wasting large amounts of money. It is possible to convert a FWD car to RWD, if that's what you meant. Longitudinally (sp?) opposed of course.
(l2><
So then basically; if my engine sits sideways in the bay, with the belts on the side; no?
EH6TunerDaniel
Attaus, you have no clue what the frackk you're talking about. Horizontally opposed is a boxer engine, has no relation to the drivetrain. You can convert a FF to an FR, but it takes work.
Attaus
I said you can't convert a horizontally opposed (ALL HONDA MOTORS minus F20C) without a lot of money and unecessary work. It's pointless. It's funny that you mention a boxer engine, because a Scooby drives the FRONT WHEELS. It just has a transfer case. I guess it makes you feel good to just tell people they don't know what they're talking about and really say nothing at all. Suck a phat one. EH6TunerDaniel
I know subaru's are boxer engines, they are horizontally opposed. They also happen to longitudinally placed in the bay. But do use a transfer case to make the older ones FWD. Honda does not make any horizontally opposed engines.

Kastigir
http://www.fargostreet.com/attachment.php?...=1959&stc=1 Horizontally opposed as in the engine bay. I believe that is called "transverse" not "horizontally opposed".
Attaus
Thanks.. I couldn't think of the term. You sure it's transverse?
EH6TunerDaniel
Yeah, its transverse, not horizontally opposed.
