ObieTrice
Would it sound strange to buy just the front 6.5 inch speaker in a civic without buying aftermarket 6x9 speakers in the back of the car. I also have 2 subs in the trunk if this makes a difference, Thanks.
That Guy
the subs are putting air pressure on the rear speakers everytime the bass hits, the speakers move with the bass obviously but it puts more stress on the stock speakers with subs in your trunk. if you roll with your back seats folded down it wont matter but i would replace the stock rear speakers because the subs with make them distort from the pressure. although i dont know how much bass youre pushin so i could be wrong, just my 2 cents
Kastigir
Strange...no. To get the best sound however, you should do your best to replace both the front and rear speakers with a voice matched set.
Pballer2005
i don't think just front speakers would be enough either. i just added a sub to my car woth a new head unit and amp and the rear speakers ouldn't handle the power.
