bangedup_lude Posted June 12, 2006 Share Posted June 12, 2006 i was cruising in 5th gear and all of sudden my car engine sputtered out and i pulled over and it wouldnt start. the next dfay it was towed to my house it started fine the first try then i drove it for about 20 mins and it died the same way then it didnt start for 2 days.i cahnged teh fuel filter drove it and it died in about the saem amount of time any idead or anyone have the same problems? distributor? Nancy Posted June 13, 2006 Share Posted June 13, 2006 if its not the dizzy then check your main engine ground wire. if that comes loose it makes the car do what you described. it happened to me once in my integra, i thought it was the dizzy so i bought a brand new obd2 dizzy when i didnt need one. dcletten Posted June 13, 2006 Share Posted June 13, 2006 could be an ignition control module, same thing happened to mine, was on my way tothe bannk and car just died, wouldnt start, tried for close to an houur and nothing, got it towed back to my parents house, next morning was gonna go tear it apart and see what i could find, but i tried to start it and it started right up, so i drove it back to my apt with no problems, day or two later was sitting in mcdonalds drive thru, died again, this time wouldnt start at all, turned out to be the ignition control module, kinda the same problem, might not be tho Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
