Blackbean
My engine check light is on.I seached and found out that I can put the codes by putting a paper clip in the blue connector on the passender side, but I can,t get the blue connector out of the green boot.Is there a trick. Also, how often do the oxygen sensors need replacing?I replaced both already and only have 100,000 kms/60,000 miles on my 98 civic hb.

CleanGSR
Just go to Autozone. They will pull your codes for free and probably even tell you what the codes mean. Much simpler.
cranny
its very simple to get the codes , id recommend buyin a haynes manual for everyone actually. but find the harness under passenger side for your obd . theres 2 wires you need to cross with ignition off , once wires are crossed turn ignition on and pow engine light will flash.
