Question re Runfat Tires on Honda Odyssey

We will be receiving a 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring minivan in the next few days. The car is equipped with the Michelin PAX runflat system which entails a special rim, plastic ring mounted inside the tire and a special, all-season tire. The system also has a tire pressure monitoring system. The monitor does double duty as the valve stem on the tire.

I would like to mount a separate set of rims and snow/ice tires for the winter months. Questions: (1) Has anyone done this on their Odyssey without any ill effects? (2) Is there a way to retain the tire pressure monitoring feature of the stock tires (for example, by buying four new tire pressure sensors and having them mounted on the aftermarket rims?) and (3) If not, I have read an article online that says Michelin was working on a PAX tire/wheel system that had snow tires instead of all seasons -- anyone hear about that?

Thanks in advance for any input or help you can provide.

I am also interested in this. I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey with runflat PAX tires. I've gone through a set of tires in about 40,000 miles. Now I am faced with paying over $1,000 for a set of tires. I wonder how much it would cost to get new rims and tires.... I didn't realize the real-time pressure gauges were part of the PAX system.... Anyway any idea what size tires and rims I need to get off of the tires?
