MeAndMyHonda Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 I got an 88 civic hatch with a d15 and just resently it started to burn gas like crazy... i used to get a week or two on one tank and in 3 days it has burned about 3/4 of a tank and the engine is running really ruff... i checked over the engine and everything looks ok... and there are no codes coming up whenever i drive... if anybody has had similar problems or has an idea of what it is i could sure use the help... thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dubb Posted September 15, 2005 Share Posted September 15, 2005 i had a similar problem with my d15. it was from my oil. since my motor had about 250,000 miles on it. it conitually burned oil, i had to put at least 1 quart every month. that caused the motor to work a little harder making gas mileage less efficient. that could be the problem...or as SSR says...check those parts.
