viperhack
replacin the rings means stripping the entire engine down to the bare block. pistons need to be disconnected from the bottom of the block and popped out the top of the block then the reverse. lots, and lots of parts to disassemble, reassemble, and possibly lose or put back wrong. I recommend getting someone who knows what they are doing to do it for you and show you the process at least once before you ever try it yourself. viperhack
good idea, or just get another car. it'd be about the same price as compared to buying a new engine and having someone put it in for you.
