  1. By the time I do this the sol will deffo not be a daily driver.
  2. That's more like it. I didn't know they made pre-fabbed roll-cages for the sol. I would deffo put one in so that the sol didn't feel so squashy at speed without the roof on.
  3. I'm enjoying the ride quality of stock right now as well. But it's honestly not much more comfortable than my setup on the last del sol and handles significantly worse, so my review is: hook that sh!t up.
  4. This would deffo be a street setup. Like I said before: better cornering, no body roll, more rigid structure, 2 inch drop but still comfortable ride.
  5. SolLes, what would you suggest? I don't know too many brands but have heard good things about GC. Koffee, I considered Koni Yellows but didn't actually know they were adjustable. That makes a world of difference. I thought those were mostly track struts. Any more suggestions, people? I thought lots of people would weigh in on this one...
  6. When I do finally lower the sol I'm gonna go for a 2" drop all around, I think. Prolly get some extended top hats to make up for the first inch and then do the dented shock trick that HungGSR did to make up for the second. That way I should have just as much travel as stock, even though I'll be dropped two inches. I think that works, right? So, now the fun part: What's the optimal suspension package, sparing no expense? Objective: Improve cornering, reduce body roll, increase chassis strength/rigidity, and maintain a comfortable (but not cushy) ride. Ideas: Ground Control Extended Top Hats Ground Control coilovers Tokico Illumina struts Energy suspension bushings Omni front/rear LCAs Skunk2 front/rear UCAs Eibach anti-sway damper kit ASR rear subframe brace Tanabe 2pt under brace PWJDM 3pt front strut tower bar PWJDM 4pt rear strut tower bar
  7. Keep the dream alive!

  8. I dunno if any of you guys (and girls) are Road & Track readers but there's a great article on valve timing adjustments in all it's various forms in August's issue. Really interesting stuff. I highly recommend you try to find a copy to read that article. Plus there's a nifty little bit about some secret Honda Collection in Cali that I wanna see really bad but isn't open to the public.
  9. Just scopin' your profile and I noticed you're a genderless 98 year old. That's pretty crazy.

  10. I'll add another one for EH6TunerDaniel xxscaxx Edit: I guess I also kinda got the rex from Kegger, although it was unclear if I bought it from him for nothing or if that was payment.
  11. You gotta update your list of mods now that you got that pimpin' exhaust on there, mang!

  12. Here's the three that I have owned in my time: The '95 sol that now belongs to Kegan: The '88 CRX I sold today, that once belonged to Kegan: And my new '93 sol, that I bought two days ago: I also technically owned an Accord, but I never drove it -- all I did was part it out and have it towed to a junkyard.
  13. I guess if you can't afford two buckets you could always spray your sponge after each wipe-down.
  14. You're a good man, Hung. This car is such a slow process. I wish I could just fast forward to this whole "getting a good job right outta college" thing. Working at Macy's for a low, low hourly wage is for the birds.
  15. Hung, thanks for the recommendations. I'm gonna have to put together a shopping list of a few essential products for detailing based off all the recommendations you've made. If you have any final thoughts on the essentials for the engine bay, exterior, wheels, and interior, I'd love to hear them. If I'm ever in Missouri I'm driving over and paying you to detail my car.
  16. So my car is a badly swirled, ungaraged, honda black. Natty's Blue? I prolly won't worry about the swirls cuz it'll only be a matter of time before it gets painted. Edit: Swirls are the result of not using the two-bucket wash process? So, if you wash it right from the start they don't happen very much?
  17. Hung, how much do you have invested in detailing products? Assuming I normally just stick with washing/waxing my car, is it actually cheaper to just get it professionally done every now and again?
  18. I'm gonna grab all the stuff he recommends and clean it again. Perhaps this weekend. My intake is out of an accord, that's why it's so short. It's a temporary one, since it's just an ebay one for the sound, but I figured "Why not?" Edit: It gives me a nice amount of space to V-Tech equip my engine. Phone and all. Picture opening up the hood and showin' off a sweet, sweet V-Tech phone in there and being all like "Yeah, it's V-Tech equipped. That's why I have those side graphics..." Of course the side graphics will have to be spelled wrong.
  19. So, I did a quick and incomplete version of Hung's process today. Quick because I had somewhere to be an hour later that required me to be clean and wearing a suit. Incomplete because I was scared to mess up my engine with all the degreaser and water since I'm a n00b (also I didn't have all the recommended accessories such as the wire brush and the engine dressing). I'm not sure if you can see the difference in these pictures, but I took three before and three after. The difference is noticeable in person, in that the engine goes from hella dirty to kinda still dirty. Now I know I can do this without screwin' up my crap, though, so I'm gonna go get all the stuff and make my engine bay shine someday soon. Here are the pics: (Before) (After) Again, the difference is prolly more noticeable in person. I'm happy with the results you can get in about 45 minutes, though. Thanks again, HungGSR.
  20. Cool. I think I'm gonna do a straight shot of Hung's method with before/after pics to post examples of its effectiveness.
  21. You used Hung's method? How'd it work out for you? If you have before and after pics that would be sweet but I'd be interested in hearing the results of this cleaning job before I try it myself.
  22. Good post, man. Thanks. I should really do this soon. I'm just nervous to screw something up I think. I can't afford to make mistakes with my car.
