Dr. Pepper Posted February 18, 2004 Share Posted February 18, 2004 I just wanted to know if it was possible (I think it is) to put a JDM H22A type S engine (like the one found at JDMHONAPARTS.com ) In a 1997 (US) Prelude. If this swap is possible what modifications (if any) would need to be taken? And what about wireing? The asking price is $4,300 for that engine I would also like to know if that is high. TruNinja619 Posted April 23, 2004 Share Posted April 23, 2004 Yes it willl..... it should be a directbolt on... considering your putting swaping a VTEC motor on a already VTEC motor.... so you should be able to use the same wiring harness..... and if ne thang u need to change... its probably the ECU.... that price u put up is pretty much average considering that almost all type-s motors i found online come around to that price...
