markm Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 hELP, WHEN I TURN ON MY AC THE CHECK BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON. I just changed my alternator due to it giving up its ghost and now this. Befor the alternator crapped out when i pushed on the ac button the check battery light would come on but then the next day on the way home the whole dash went crazy so i had the alternator checked and it was bad. The check light only comes on if the ac button is engaged. If the fan is on everything is alright. Can the compressor be going bad? Please help this car has 350000 miles on it and it runs very good still, i'd like to keep it a while longer but i don't feel like getting reamed at a so called mechanic shop.
