Sara Jordan
I have a 2005 Honda Accord and the compressor went out last year and we just spent $900 to get all of that fixed. Only about a week or two after getting the compressor fixed the A.C. started cutting in and out whenever you turned it any lower than full blast. The A.C. nor the heater would work, it wouldn't blow any air at all and once you turned it all the way back up it worked perfectly fine. We used it like this for several weeks because we didn't have the money to fix it again. One day we turned it down a little and it cut out and wouldn't come back on. We went several weeks with it not working at all. We would turn it off for a while and then occasionally back on since to begin with that seemed to do the trick but nothing now. We leave it turned on full blast and very rarely when we crank up the car it will start working. The other day it started working after cranking it and I immediately turned it off because it was too cold for A.C. and in the past as long as you turned it completely off and just not half way it would turn back on, no such luck the other day. Now it seems to work when it wants to, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason when it works so we can't pinpoint what the issue could be. Any suggestions? We don't really have to the money to go back to a mechanic so hoping it's something we can take care of ourselves. We have a newborn baby and really need a heater, hence spending $900 to get it fixed to begin with.
