2010 4 cyl engine whine?

Hi folks, first time posting. Got my wifes first brand new car in 2010 a 4cyl Accord, this is not the first issue: factory battery, left and right rear calipers, but other than that really cant complain. Anyway, I always thought the engine whine was pretty cool, but last night she was really concerned about it with the colder weather were having. She says its worse in the winter. I went to the dealer today and he printed out a Service News Article pretty much saying its normal, saying its the power steering pump. I checked all the fluids this morning; the power steering fluid was right at the bottom line when it was cold this morning. Just wanted to check with you folks and see what you thought, and yes I already did a search. Thank you in advance and be well.
