99bajakid Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 Hey guys, im thinking about switching over from baja style racing (desert offroading) to street racing. I like the way the integras look/sound and i know they are fairly easy to tune and squeeze alot of HP out of them. I like the 94-present body style can you guys recomend a good integra for me. id like it under 9k as well. Is a type R that much better than the normal LS or something. also is the GSR a type or is that totally different. THanks alot
EGRacer Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 a type r will be pretty pricey and over 9k unless its from a junkyard. and yes the gsr is a version of the integra. beasically its the sport version with a bigger motor and lots more hp than the ls or std integra
99bajakid Posted June 21, 2002 Author Posted June 21, 2002 so i should get the GSR instead of any of the base modles? i probably cannot afford a Type-R so is a GSR my best bet.
EGRacer Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 yes get a GSR. just when u do first things to get are CAI, Header, and K&N Filter for the intake. also get some new rims and save up for dough for the type-r parts for your b18c1(stock motor). they will increase hp midly and then u can say u have an Integra GSR Type-R lol j/k no such thing
99bajakid Posted June 22, 2002 Author Posted June 22, 2002 i plan on turbo charging it should i wait on the headers until i pick up the turbo? I think when you get a turbo the right header comes with it right, one that will accept the turbo? or am i wrong on this.
99bajakid Posted June 27, 2002 Author Posted June 27, 2002 how well do integras fair on an autocross track? Are they fiarly well ballanced?
Carmac55 Posted October 19, 2002 Posted October 19, 2002 I just got a 1994 integra ls coupe for 5,000 it had 118,000 miles but it still runs like new. The only problems with the car was a few small spots of rust and paint chips. A 1994 LS in great shape goes for the mid 6,000's and ive seen a few GS-R's for mid 7,000's.
EGRacer Posted October 23, 2002 Posted October 23, 2002 yea they are good for autocrossing but if u want auto-x get a crx they are hella tight out there
