93PreludeVTEC
My 93 prelude VTEC has trouble getting started when the engine is cold, but once its started and the engine has warmed up it starts every time. Could it be the main relay? I usually get it started by tossing a cap full of gas in the throttle body, but if I push the gas pedal before its been running for a minute, it shuts off. Jeff Collision
Check your battery. It is possible that your car's battery may not have a high enough cold cranking amps (CCA) rating. The CCA rating describes a battery's ability to start the car's engine while it is cold.
93PreludeVTEC
It's a brand new battery, and I even put on new terminal cables.
93PreludeVTEC
So I just changed my spark plugs and there was oil all over them. I guessing that is the problem.
James Matteu
Wet oil on the tips? How much oil and where. Pictures would help.
93PreludeVTEC
I'm unsure of how to post pictures. It was a pretty good amount of oil, however when I did my oil change there was entirely too much oil in the pan from the previous owner. I'd estimate it at 7.5 quarts. I'm guessing I may need to change the valve cover gasket.
James Matteu
You need to be more specific about where the oil was on the spark plugs.
93PreludeVTEC
Basically my entire plug was covered. Tell me how to post a picture and I will pull my plugs again tomorrow and try to be as detailed as possible with what I find.
