Iapetus Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 Anyone every tried to pull the engine out of a '98 - '02 Accord (4 cyl) without removing the transmission? I can't separate the two and I believe I've removed all the brackets and bolts connecting them. The dowel pins between the engine and transmission housing could be stuck I supposed. Violent shaking doesn't seem to work - neither does a 2-foot long pry bar. Any thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
James Matteu Posted July 3, 2013 Share Posted July 3, 2013 You missed a bolt. Find a diagram, count what your supposed to have, review what you've removed, then remove what's left. The one that always gets me is buried under the thermostat housing, kinda under the distributor and behind some wires. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
