exotica Posted June 29, 2013 Share Posted June 29, 2013 Hey all I am having issues with my trunk. It kept saying it was open in the dash board. THen all of a sudden my battery went dead?? The guy at the shop said it isbecause when i unlock my back trunk the window goes unlocked. THis causes my battery to drain! That is crazy. NEver heard of such a thing Has anyone had this happen? Anyway to prevent it? Really scary because what if i was far away on a dirt road or something parked. Just want to avoid it. mechanicatheart Posted July 25, 2013 Share Posted July 25, 2013 sounds to me like you have a bad sensor for the trunk which will tell the dash that its open when it isn't and will leave the trunk light on which will kill the battery. you can do the cheap fix and just pull the trunk light bulb out or replace the sensor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
