Bad injectors in my 91 civic lx

so i got a 91 civic lx but when i went to smog it it failed because my injectors are apperently not working properly and are allowig too much fuel into the engine. so my question is instead of spending 455 dollars at the cheapest shop ive found what are some other ways i can go about replacing them. mainly because when i went to see about doing it myself i was told the injectors themselves are very complicated to get to and that it is a easier process to just replace the intire manifold. the problem is i have injectors just not the enitre manifold.
