shepardcommander
I bought a used 1995 Honda Passport a few weeks back, it had a stereo but no faceplate so I bought a brand new Pioneer DEH-1300MP for it. When we took out the old stereo we had to remove the harness because some of the wires were a bit torn and the electrical tape was drying out. I bought this harness from eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360407440964#ht_3712wt_1037 hoping it would be enough. I received it in the mail, hooked up to my stereo's power harness, crimped the wires, etc. when I went to install it to test it out, I found it did not fit. See this pic: http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s75/ironfranny/IMAG0228.jpg The harness from eBay is a little too small for the factory harness and I have been trying to find a replacement but all marketplaces show the exact same item in their pictures. I have tried contacting their customer support but to no response. Here is the harness I removed from the car side by side with the one I bought : I am wondering if the previous owner did some tampering and it really isnt the original set up or if the harness I bought from the internet is wrong. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s75/ironfranny/IMAG0230.jpg Is there a way to identify what I need? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
