proper way to clean IAC valve help.

Ok, I have taken off the valve, what next,,,

1. what solvent to soak it in and how long, have tried just spraying with carb cleaner with no change.

2. I see a nylon worm screw thing in one hole, should I mess with it at all?

3. after air dry, do I need to spray any type of lubricant in the hole on that worm gear?

I have had this thing off four times, the idle will drop when i unplug it which i think means it is working but still needs something to stop the code 14, IAC malfunction.
