Help with slow start 89 accord lxi

Hi,

 

My 89 accord starts fine when cold but once hot its slow to start and gas has to be pumped to get it going wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

 

here is what i have done recently

 

plugs

wires

cap & rotor

pcv

air filter

 

it was doing this before and is still doing it, please help.......

It sounds like it may be a bad gasket on the intake OR a vacuum leak OR a faulty thermo valve (usually either thermo valve A or B). Check all the vacuum lines first and replace any cracked or suspecious looking ones. Go to a salvage yard if you want to swap out the thermos cheap to see if that is causing it. Unfortunately, the more common cause for what you are describing often times ends up being the intake gasket. Just some things for you to think about...
