fifty9singlecab
I have a 1991 Honda Accord Station Wagon and the 6x9 speaker in the rear of the drivers side is blown and when I went to replace it I noticed it has 2 hookups on it. Why is there 2? Also I have 2 in the roof in the rear and 2 in the front in the doors. All of them work well except for the 6x9. I guess my question is do I half to hook up both sides? Because the after market speaker doesn't have but 1 hookup side.
rspeach
I added another 6"x9" speaker on the other side by removing the cover and cutting out a 5"x8" hole in the cover then ran the other speaker wire for hook up thru the spare tire area. Note: the original 6"x9" rear speaker was meant to be sort of a sub woofer, so when you get your 6"x9" replacements focus on the deep end as the 3 1/2" speakers in the ceiling and the 6 1/2" speakers in the front will cover your highs. fifty9singlecab
So can I leave one of the wires loose. Which one do I use? I have a good Kenwood 6x9 to put in I just didn't know if the 2 hook-ups were running concurrent to the speakers in the roof. Thanks!
