JWC2000 Posted July 11, 2003 Share Posted July 11, 2003 My check engine light came on in my 1999 Accord LX Coupe; 4 cyclinder engine. Took it to Auto Zone for a check engine analysis. The code came up "P1556". They couldn't read this code, saying that it was specific to the car. Does anyone have any knowledge of what "P1556" is. carta79 Posted September 15, 2003 Share Posted September 15, 2003 I've heard of P1519 but P1556 is a new code to me (never heard of it). Anyways have you done any mods that could have triggered the CEL or did it just come on. Have you tried resetting it by disconnecting the negative battery terminal, also you could try to pull fuse number #13 from the box. If they couldn't read the code how did they come up with P1556, and if the code is specific to the car then the diagnostics tool should have stated what is wrong with the car.
