you can probably take those vents out, so you can see where you're drilling into. measure everything out, and drill a small pilot hole where youre going to be setting in the screws. then just screw it in from there.

 

and why do you need two tachs?

I dont really need two tachs but the new one will make my life easier since it has a datalogger in itself and can retreive data later from it :)
