northworm
I have a 98 Accord EX, automatic transmission, with 140,000 miles. When I slowly accelerate, like driving through my neighborhood, it shifts from first to second just fine, but then it hangs in second gear too long without shifting to third. It also downshifts unexpectadly and somewhat hard when I take my foot off the gas. If I accelerate quicker (more foot in the pedal) from a stop, it shifts through the gears much smoother. The fluid level is fine, and has been flushed (drain - add three quarts, drive, drain - add three quarts, repeat) recently. Any suggestions?? Thanks. Pyrorocketeer
adjust the TV cable to see if that solves a part, or all of your problem. thats the most obvious thing to check first (other than atf), seeing how that directly controls when your auto shifts.
