Please Help me!
Kastigir Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Stock internals I wouldn't boost more than 8 psi. With a built bottom end you could increase that.

Please Help me! I'm guessing those are parts you already have? You won't need the header, since that will be getting replaced, I would just get a Drag kit or something that comes with everything for you, make it simple since it seems like you have no clue on turboing a car, yet.
compuvision02 Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 You can boost more, but the generally known "safe" number for stock B-Series is 8psi.
quake Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I would play it safe and only boost to 6......but that's just me.....
Hellion_2300 Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I would wait till you can get some forged pistons and shafts before I would turbo or you could risk ruining your motor.
compuvision02 Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Yeah, if you over boost. If you stick at 8psi or below, you should be fine, a lot of people do it. You just need to get tuned. If you do want to play it safe go for go lower then 8psi, but at that point you won't get much gains; or you could upgrade your bottom end, if you have the money.
