got a real problem help me please

i have a new problem with this damn thing.......got everything running...but....check this out. while driveing, i lost throttle response.....pulled over and checked out the engine bay...looked and felt the throttle cable,it was hot and the plastic piece that fits into the firewall was melted????? i have no clue what the hell could be wrong with it????? please let me know what it could be

It got hot and melted. Without it in place there's no resistance and you can't use the throttle. Fix it yo!

i know it wont work. i found the problem though. the damn engine wasnt grounded.DUH. i feel like a retard.... now all i need is the damn cable, and only place around here is the damn honda dealership cant get it until thursday
