ToadStool Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Where could I get the parts to do a rear disc conversion on my 95 Dx? Would it bolt right up? Do I need to replace the e-brake cable or the brake lines?
airjordan223 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 check this out. and yeah you need the lines and cables
ToadStool Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 Thanks man. Would I need to replace the brake lines or e-brake cable though?
ToadStool Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 Ok, but do you think I could just go to a junk yard and get all the stuff I need off an Integra or something?
koffeeDC2 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 you can get the parts from an integra or del sol si and the cables you already have should work but then you have to bleed your brakes after you take the cables off your old umm trailing arm i guess is the name of it and put the cables and stuff on the new ones. What im trying to say is you use your old e-brake cable and brake lines. i was really looking into this when i had a civic but then i found my integra.
ToadStool Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 Alright sounds pretty straightforward...would any brake preformace be lost by doing this do you think? since it is meant for drums stock...
coolcat467 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Since you are gonna do this, you should do the 5-lug conversion as well.
ToadStool Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 What would be involved in that...I havent heard of that being done before.
airjordan223 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 yeah i wouldnt do that cause youd have to do the extra work on the front as well
coolcat467 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 True, screw it. It's a lot of work. airjordan, didn't Nancy do a 5-lug conversion on her civic?
