xtc
A friend of mine has a Honda Civic 2001, last night his transmission was acting funny, the RPM's hit 4000 and then he lost engine power. Today when he was driving it RPMs stayed at 4000. He took it to the mechanic this morning and he pulled a code that said gear ratio incorrect. The mechanic says he needs a new transmission $2100 installed. The tranny has 40,000km on it. Is there anything else that could be wrong rather than a failed tranny? *$2100 is Canadian dollars ** car has automatic transmission
cranny
prolly just needs something in the tranny but on the other hand its prolly cheaper jyst to buy a whole trans and swap it out. i have an 01 civic as well. if it was shifting funny or staying in one gear or not going into overdrive than id say its a solenoid or something electrical but if its slipping than thats prolly bad.
