import142
well i have a problem with my subs. sometimes when i turn my car on there is a constant pop pop pop from my subs. when i added gain the pops got louder and i checked all the wireing and none of it is touching. i checked the rca cables and they are fine and im not sure whats goin on. it usually stops after i start my car and get going but sometimes it still goes until i turn my deck louder than the poping. REDLINEperformance
That popping you hear is called "road noise". It could be many things. Bad ground, ground wire too long, amp gain is all the way up, bad rca's, bad rca turminal on amp or head unit. Try changing your ground position and sand the area till it shows metal. sohcVTEC-E
I also hear if your Lead wire is too close to your RCAs you'll get a popping noise.
cranny
negative on popping cause of power being next to rca's.
