Y8 Head swap...

Recommended Posts

My apologies about posthing this in the civic forum, should of gone here

At this moment im driving a 96 DX Civic that is non vtec. In one of the other treads I started.. the idea was suggested that I swap out the non vtec heads with Y8 Heads from an EX. So i did some homework. Found out its not as easy as taking off the one head and putting on the other. I need to run an oil line up to the head for the vtec. Also i found out that, in the ex... that line was run through the internals. (Not quite sure how, or where) There any truth to this? And also if you guys dont mind, how would i run this oil line?

theres a kit you can buy solles had link one day for that very same purpose. it screws on where your oil filter does and oil filter goes over it , and theres lines comming out of it for VTEC head.
