Lost in TX
Currently wrenching a Prelude and had to swap out a bad engine. Car orig. had the M.T., fuel inj eng, 2.0L (4 cyl) but was swapped to the A.T., fuel inj eng, 2.05L (4 cyl), but the 2.0 MT was kept. Here is the problem: car will not start. Starter cables and the engine was gone over more then 3x, and just cannot figure out why it won't fire or even crank. Was told that the starter plunger was not hitting the flywheel, but the Orig. MT flywheel was kept as well as the starter. Would *this* make a difference? Meaning, do I need the AT flywheel/starter? Is there *really* that much of a difference to the flywheel/starters between these engines? Any help would be appreciated! Mike
