I have a Odyssey 2010 and the cases of the keys were falling apart.
I bought 2 cases from Amazon, replaced 1.
Now when I try to start the vehicle with key with the new case, the motor turns over but does not start.
It starts fine with the key in which the case is not replaced.
The battery also seems dead in the key with the replaced case.
Is it absolutely necessary to have a working battery to start the car?
Should I get a new battery (1616) and try?
Is any reprogramming needed after I replace the battery?
