I drive a 2006 CR-V and I recently moved so I’m trying to update my registration, but I’ve run into an isssue: my VIN is 1 digit too long to be entered into my state’s DMV website. It was also a problem last year when I was registering my car here. The DMV employees said they had never seen a VIN like mine and they had me take a photo of the sticker to email to the state DMV headquarters! It seems like this is a pretty rare case, so I’m wondering if any of y’all are in the same boat, or maybe know why my VIN might have an extra digit?
