IF YOU HAVE A VTEC HEAD WITH SOLNOID AND A VTEC ECU THEN IM PRETTY SURE YOU CAN WIRE THE SOLNOID TO THE ECU IS FROM WHAT I HEARD. IF YOU HAVE THE ENGINE WIRE HARNESS THEN IT PROLLY BE EASIER THAT WAY

    FIRST T-BELT CHANGE

You have to make sure your cam gear is aligned and also the bottom gear also needs to align up right. the bottom gear has a line that matchs up to an arrow on the block. got to have those 2 alrign and should run like normal again

    D16Y8 CAM GEAR WORK FOR D15B ?

Just wanted to know if a d16y8 cam would work for my d15b setup. I bought the car with the d15b already in it. I chewed up the gear a bit and need to find one asap. junk yard has one for a 98 civic ex, otherwise i have to wait till tuesday for the d16z6 cam to come in. let me know thanks

new exhaust for the 97 hatch

Thanks man. I ended up keeping the exhaust that was on it since it was 2 1/4 inch and just had 2 leaks in it. So I fixed the one leak with a new gasket and the second leak is where the down pipe goes from the header. I just ordered my header today with downpipe so once I get my header the second exhaust leak will be fixed and then just need to find me a p28 ecu so I can upgrade mine since its a p2p and the p28 is more for my car since its hard to get a p08

    Question about tires

It just all depends. If your driving down the road in a straight line and if you take your hands off the wheel does it go left or right or does it stay pretty much straight? If it goes in either direction then you more then likely need to get an alignment done. Otherwise if your going straight then I wouldnt really worry to much about it.

    ecu ? on jdm d15b

Nice to know draytech, I may be asking you some more questions then. It seems my car can pick speed up pretty quick in 2nd and 3rd but at the start of first gear its like you have to kind of ride the clutch at 2000-2500 rpm just to get it to move a little quicker, Im not really sure how to explain it. But it Just seems sluggish in first gear.

HEADER QUESTION FOR 97 CIVIC HATCH

Well the crazy thing is, that I was looking at where the after cat o2 sensor was leading cuz the previous guy had it going in front of radiator for some reason, so i pulled on the wire and came right out and wasnt even hooked up to anything. so now im wondering if it even needs to be hooked up. I dont have any engine codes. I may just buy a header that has the 2 o2 sensor spots just in case i need the second one plugged in

    to repair or mourn?

Definately agree with xeryon, anyone is capable of doing it if put the effort or desire to want to fix it. I recently had to replace timing belt and water pump and alt belt while I was there. Never done one before. Got a little bit of advice from some people and also got on you tube and watch a few how to videos and I cant complain with how good of a job I did. Yes it may take longer to get done then to have a prefessional do it. But you gain confidence that you fixed something and not paying out the azz just to get the car running again

Yeah im not swapping the motor. Just going to put the car away in the winter and pull motor and put some bigger pistons and upgrade some internals. That way im not spending a bunch of money.
