Kegger
it might either by a d16a6 or z6 is it vtec? but yeah sounds like ignition or cam timing. is he runnin rich?

Kegger
well if its runnin rich then it prolly just ignition timing. hes not burning all the fuel. the ecu will take care of that problem if its in correct time.
sohcVTEC-E
If it's a VTEC motor it could be low of oil and VTEC could be kicking in and out. Check the engine code and get back to us
avc707
i dont think its vtec i havent look at the engine yet. it should be the stock motor and they didnt come with a vtec motor in a 91 si hatch dose it?
sohcVTEC-E
If my memory serves me right the 91 has the D16A6 motor, thats a non VTEC motor. But who knows, a Z6 or any other VTEC motor could have been swapped in. If its a VTEC motor I think my guess would be right if its a non VTEC motor then its probably timing. avc707
yah its a non vtec. i tryed to ajust the timing but the dis cap wont turn far enough. could that mean i just need a new rotor inside or cap and rotor or would it be something els. the timing was far off but now its within about two or three degrees but it still hesitats alittle.
