Trouble with car, not sure what it is.

Just recently my car started sputtering for lack of a better term when I am at low rpms. It does it sometimes when I am in higher gears but not very often. My O2 sensor was broken a long while back and I replaced that, it cured it for a little while but it's back again. I am just curious as to what it could be. I also noticed a crack around one part of my headers, although I think it's just a surface crack. I still wonder if it's losing pressure. I mean if it is hey it's a great excuse to get new performance headers seeing how the one that is cracked now is stock. But if you have any ideas let me know it would be great. My friend thinks it is the clutch slipping but I hope it's not that.

A slipping clutch would not cause your car to sputter, your friend is an idiot. Sounds like something is perhaps causing your fuel ratio to be off at times, my Civic does what you're describing as well. It happens infrequently, so I'm not too concerned about it. Does it happen to throw a check engine light when it happens?

No, but see my check engine light was on when it first started. It sounds like your O2 sensor is going out, but hey I am not a mechanic by any means. I am just thinking does this give me enough of an excuse to go ahead and just spring for the engine swap I want and not get my ass kicked by my gf? I replaced the O2 sensor on my car and it stopped for a little while, but now it's back again, and it pissed me off. I mean even though my car is virtually stock I would still like to pull up to a stop light with another car and pull of the line if he wants to go. Which now I can't do it because 1 it looks like I don't know how to drive a stick which I have been doing since I learned to drive, and 2 it makes my car look like a pos. Both of which blow. But yeah I am still stumped so any new ideas would be great.
