Before you throw money at a name, check your local community colleges and police stations for driving classes and referrals...not 'I got a ticket' class, but police driving classes.

My uncle teaches the same SWAT, defensive and 'aggressive' driving at a local community college near Detroit that he did for 30 years as a cop. And they cost

what a community college class costs....diapers are extra.

we mean a racing school...ie: performance driving.

not "how to hit the ford fiesta thats running from you off the road in your big ass caprice"

btw, a lot of cops don't know how to drive that good. a friend of mine got a video of a Florida Highway Patrol car that was coming up behind someone on the interstate...he saw the FHP camaro coming up fast so he decided to film it. the camaro came up next to the car he wanted to pull over (a silver jetta 1.8T) turned on his lights, slowed down a little bit to get behind him...then tried to be a bad ass and switch lanes real fast to show off his awesome handleing police car. he ended up swerving too fast and losing control of his car, he skidded into the guardrail and thats all my friends camera caught. waste of taxpayers money.

Racing school = Skip Barber or something

Performance school = HPDS (high performance driving event) you pay to enter and drive around a track in your car with an instructor riding along with you

Skip Barber uses open wheel cars for instruction. You have class time and driving time where you are taught hwen to turn, brake, gas, clutch, etc.

HPDS you are just in your car with an instructor who gives you tips and will help you where he can.

Good schools are around $1,000.

HPDS not including consumables (since you use your own car) is around $300.

At HPDS, you will have gas to pay for, tires, brake pads, etc. A good hard day of tracking should wear out a new set of tires.
