BahamaRicer
Hello again, I have a magnaflow muffler on my civic. I live in the Bahamas and we have no emissions laws. Is cutting off the resonator and cat worth it? thanks adam
..SSR..
No, it will sound like crap and you'll lose power.
S14Silvia
you do need some amount of back pressure otherwise you just lose power, thats what ssr is getting at, and yes it does sound horrible.

Mercutio
Jowls!!! Gobble Gobble Gobble! Yeah, if you want, you can get a high-flow cat, but like they said, you need some back pressure. My friend had a straightpipe with no cat or res on his civic and sold me his muffler so he could put the stock on back on for some backpressure since there wasn't any with the aftermarket muffler on. carta79
The rice threads never end. More sound doesn't equal more power. Enough said!
