The [JGTC] Japanese GT Championship is on the verge of a tie-up with the [sCCA] Sports Car Club of America to run an invitational event on the oval/road course at ISC's California Speedway in Fontana later this year. SCCA chairman Steve Johnson said: "The SCCA loves this kind of racing, so we would welcome them to America with open arms."
